Payment — Italy corporate merch
Standard 50% deposit + 50% on delivery, Net 30 / Net 45 for recurring clients, e-invoicing via SdI of Agenzia delle Entrate, IVA reverse-charge for valid EU VAT IDs, SEPA bank transfer and card.
Payment — quick answer
The standard term is 50% deposit on PO confirmation and 50% on delivery. Recurring clients with an approved credit line move to Net 30 or Net 45. All invoices are issued electronically through the SdI (Sistema di Interscambio) of Agenzia delle Entrate with IVA 22%, except for cross-border EU B2B where the reverse-charge mechanism applies on valid VAT IDs. We accept SEPA bank transfer, SDD and card.
Detailed FAQ — payment
Why 50% deposit?
Branded merch is bespoke production — once your logo is printed, nobody else can use the stock. The deposit covers blank purchase and setup; the balance follows delivery. It is the industry norm and matches Italian B2B custom for "produzione su misura".
Can I get Net 30 / Net 45?
Yes — after two completed orders or with a credit-line check. We open a customer credit limit, you receive a Net 30 e-invoice via SdI, payment due 30 days end-of-month.
How does SdI invoicing work?
Italian e-invoices are transmitted as XML files through the Sistema di Interscambio, the Agenzia delle Entrate exchange. The invoice arrives in your codice destinatario or PEC mailbox; we receive your buyer codes during onboarding.
What is the IVA reverse-charge?
For B2B sales to a valid EU VAT ID outside Italy, we issue an SdI invoice without IVA, with the standard "inversione contabile / reverse-charge ex art. 17" annotation. The buyer self-accounts for VAT in their home country.
Which payment methods do you accept?
SEPA bank transfer (preferred — no fees, settles overnight), SEPA Direct Debit (for recurring clients), Visa / Mastercard via a Stripe link sent with the SdI invoice, and PayPal for samples under 200 EUR.
Are sample fees on the same terms?
Samples are paid upfront 100% (card or SEPA link). When the bulk order goes through, the sample fee is credited on the final invoice.
What if my company uses a PEC mailbox?
Fine — provide your PEC address and we send the SdI invoice there. We can also send a copy to a buyer email for AP processing.
Late-payment terms?
Italian D.Lgs. 231/2002 applies: late-payment interest at ECB rate +8% from the day after invoice due date, with a 40 EUR fixed recovery fee. We rarely invoke it on recurring clients.
Italy-specific notes
All B2B invoices in Italy clear through the SdI of Agenzia delle Entrate; IVA 22% applies unless a valid EU VAT ID triggers reverse-charge. We support SEPA, SDD, Stripe card links, and PayPal for samples. Net 30 / Net 45 terms are available after a credit check; the standard for new clients remains 50% deposit + 50% on delivery via SEPA.
